Conceived c1992 This is Take 11 mix 9 recorded May 2010 Sonar 6 & August 2015 Sonar X1
This riff evolved out of some fiddling about with the Who's "I Get the Story" (Hmmm....

.But I digress!!)
On the First take, I had laid down the core Rhythm Guitar chord progression unaccompanied no metronome, no click track, and then manually & individually tracked the drums.
Other Early takes (done on a Fostex 8 track Reel to Reel), I had some backwards Lead Guitars (that worked during the quiet sections, but not in the loud ones!!), and also an instrument from a ROM sound card for my drum machine called a Nantoka! (Whatever the hell that is!! Sounds like a cross between a Sumo wrestler & an SUV!!)
The slightly off kilter rhythm & timing in my chord progression changes on the Rhythm Guitar made me think that this was in 6/4 time for awhile, while I was trying to get a DM sequence going around the time of Take 2, until I hit on the off beat start & stop rhythm it has here!
Like Im forcing 6/4 into 4/4 almost!
(I think it actually varies between 2/4, 4/4 AND 6/4!)
