Heavy Metallized Instrumental take on The Beatles- "I Want You (She's So Heavy)" featuring multiple Guitars &..... Bells! (Bells??)
Conceived c1994. This is Take 3 Mix 13 Recorded c1995 Alesis ADAT & May 2013 Sonar X1
Taking on the "Abbey Road" classic (Well, HALF of it anyway!) & turning it into the Heavy Metal song you always FEARED it could be (!!) with multiple FX processed Rhythm guitars, Harmony Lead Guitars bludgeoning the hell out of the two core riffs....
.....and a barrage of various Bells doing likewise (Tubular, Glockenspiel, Vibe etc, etc!)
And THREE-
count 'em THREE (!) -different Bass Guitars!
(Of course, Paul probably played only ONE!!)
Recorded the bulk of this (Guitars & Basses) in 1995 on ADAT, and ran all the drums, etc
off a MIDI sync.
Then in 2013, transferred it into my Sonar DAW, & recorded the Drums/Cymbals & Bells, and added two Acoustic Rhythm guitars (using my custom D minor 6 Tuning of D, A, D, A, B, F).
Manic free-time ending drums/cymbals were played live on my Drum Machine as I recorded it to DAW, and sounds something more like what KEITH MOON would play, rather than RINGO STARR!!!
("I'VE GOT BLISTERS ON MY FINGERS"!!!!) :-)
